Homecoming

DU vs. Yale

We are thrilled that 78 Green Mountain Soccer players and supporters will welcome the #2 team in the nation, the DU Men’s Soccer Pioneers, home to host Yale this evening. The tickets have been distributed to the players. Please wear Green Mountain gear as we represent Ram Nation. There is no set time expectation for the players, but everyone is encouraged to come for warmups as aspects of our pregame warmup are based on DU’s, so seeing it done at a high level is definitely inspiring.

You can find direction to the University of Denver Soccer Stadium in Google Maps. We recommend street parking in the neighborhood around the stadium. If you can see the gold clock tower, walk that way as the entry gate is directly under it. If you have any trouble on the way in, call or text Coach Matt: 303-204-1412.

Monday at Lincoln

Click this link for the gameday rosters for our matches Monday, September 16th, at Lincoln. The JV match kicks off at 4:30pm, and the varsity match starts at 6:30pm. We hope to see lots of gold and black in the visiting team stands!

Bear Creek Tuesday and Wednesday

We open league play on Tuesday, September 17th, hosting a varsity match against rival Bear Creek at Lakewood Memorial Field at 7pm. All players are required to attend. The gameday rosters for Bear Creek will be released Monday with all the details.

We host Bear Creek for a JV match on our turf at 4pm Wednesday, September 18th. Again, all players are required to attend.

Homecoming Parade

Our homecoming parade activities start with decorating our float and eating pizza directly following the home JV match on Wednesday. The coaches have time conflicts with the float decorating, so boosters will be hosting and chaperoning that event. The latest information we have on the parade is that it will take place on Thursday, September 19th at noon. There will be lots of directions coming from school personnel to guide students participating in the homecoming parade. We have been cautioned by school administration to please gently toss candy, and not throw it forcibly, at the people along there parade route.

Training Thursday

We will go 30 minutes early, while we wait for our lights to be operational, on Thursday, September 20th. Training will be 6pm to 7:30pm on our turf.

Hosting Conifer

We are home at LMF against Conifer for a varsity match on Friday, September 20th, at 5pm. All players are required to attend. We will release the players immediately following the match so they can get to the 7pm homecoming football game and cheer on the Rams, especially kickers Tarin and Jake!

We host the JV Conifer match on Monday, September 23rd on our turf at 4pm. All players are required to attend.

This is an extremely busy week, Rams. Let’s defend the mountain!
