We are thrilled to announce the fourth member of our 2023 boy’s soccer coaching staff – Coach John Daley!
John played center midfield and striker at Manual High School on a team that won the DPS League Championship, and was undefeated heading into the state semifinals where they lost to powerhouse Cherry Creek. After a successful stint playing intramural soccer at the University of Virginia, John transfered to Harvard University where he was the starting left back for the Crimson’s varsity soccer team.
As a coach, John led a girl’s high school varsity team in Massachusetts, and he coached his daughter’s team, the Green Grass Snakes, when she was young. Coach John and Coach Matt met when John’s daughter was a four-year varsity starter at Denver South High School. John eventually joined Matt on staff at DSouth Soccer, and Matt is thrilled to have John joining the Rams as an assistant coach for this coming fall campaign.
Coach John will work with our field players, and also help show our keepers some much deserved love when Coach Manny is not available.
In addition to coaching, this talented player has not yet hung up his boots. John plays adult league soccer around the Denver Metro for Peace FC. Please help us welcome Coach John Daley to the boy’s soccer coaching staff!
