Celebrating the Stars

Do you know what those two starts mean in high school soccer? Do you realize that both the Green Mountain boys and girls soccer teams have each won two CHSAA state championships? If you didn’t know, why not?

I have been coaching soccer in Colorado for sixteen years, and until this spring, I never considered Green Mountain when I thought about the contenders.

That ends now.

We have a championship legacy. It is hard to reach the top of the mountain. When you ignore that you have been there before, the journey is much harder. From this point forward, we will celebrate our state titles in all that we do. There will be two stars on our new uniforms. We will hold our heads high in wins and in defeat like champions should. And make no mistake about it…our long-term goal is to be the best team in Colorado 4A boy’s soccer, hoisting a trophy in November. I have no idea what the 2023 season will bring, but if your aspirations are anything short of being the best, this is not the soccer program for you. We are going to train, think, act and play like the champions that we are.

Scarves Now Available

No garment is more closely linked to any sport than the scarf is linked to soccer. Each year, we will offer our supporters a new scarf design to help us celebrate the players for that specific season. Man, will we look good if we can fill the stands at LMF with friends and family sporting the black and gold for our home varsity games. In addition to wearing your Rams scarf to support your team, your 2023 scarf will get you into all of our JV home games on our turf free of charge (all non-scarf-wearing spectators will be asked for a $1 donation to our program to attend our JV games).

Scarves can be purchased for $25 each by clicking the link below.

Show you Ram spirit, and have a lasting memory of your player’s contribution to the 2023 campaign.

Internal Scrimmage Tuesday

On Tuesday, May 23rd from 3:30pm to 5pm, we will have our last pre-preseason internal scrimmage on the turf. All players, including incoming freshmen for the 2023/2024 school year, are welcome. After that session, our next time together will be the official start of preseason in late June.
